Computerman is a locally owned and operated Computer reseller and Service
centre, situated at 36 Kortum Drive, Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast, QLD
4220.
We specialise in providing new custom computers & parts, we service
& repair all brands and have an extensive second hand department.
The business was established over 12 years ago and is one of the few
independant computer stores which have managed to survive the onslaught
of the major specialist retailers in the industry.
We hope you enjoy our Calendar which reflects the lighter side of life and we thank you for your support with our Cancer and Children’s charities.
The initial inspiration for the Calendar came from a need to find alternate
methods of advertising to compete with the “big guns” here
on the Gold Coast, and the Calendar offered us a more local and personal
approach, which combined well with our motto, “Where Service Counts”.
As we already support the Mount Tamborine Children’s respite care
through our great friend John Saunders and his team of volunteers, with
computer equipment donations, we decided to expand this concept and
donate $10 of every Calendar sold, to other additional charities. We
canvassed our customers for their thoughts and the census of opinion
was to donate the funds to a Cancer fund and one of the Children’s
charities.
Next came the fun part, how to design a Calendar that would be appealing
to our customers, what content to use and who would be our models or
props. Many a long long discussion ensued between both our staff and
our customers, before we settled on the product your now the proud owner
of.
As you can see, for better or for worse, we ran with our service theme
and based the content on YOU our customers, taking a light and breezy
slant on the typical comments we hear everyday. We have tried to make
it a funny, tongue in cheek production that will make you laugh and
smile, whilst giving you a practical tool for your home or business.
For those people who may take offence at the captions or photos we have
used, please take a step backwards and smile, charity is about helping
others in need, so by buying this calendar, remember, you have helped
to make the life of a cancer sufferer or a disadvantaged child a little
more bearable.
We must take time here to thank all the customers who gave their time and effort modelling in the calendar, Yes they are all genuine customers !
